The Texan deployed at the end of January. I have handled it pretty well. Both kiddos are still alive and healthy, the dogs are well fed and happy, and I've learned to take it easy and fund time for my own creative outlet. My favorite is sewing. My favorite flower happens to be the Lilac. It reminds me of when I was little. Before my dad passed away, before my world became more than just our family, when I was still a little girl wanting nothing more than to play outside. Growing up we had two lilac trees in our yard. They were purple and we'd always know when spring was finally here when they began to blossom. That also meant that summer break was coming and dad would have the baseball game on the radio, the riding lawn mower going, and a cold PBR in his hand. I recently subscribed to Graze Box . If you don't know what a Graze is it is a website where you can order healthy snacks to be delivered directly to your door. I know you are already rolling your eyes, I did when I read the last sentence. I only signed up because I had a code for a no obligation free box. The Texan is always snacking and we needed a healthy alternative. They offer two types of boxes, one for snackers and one for calorie counting snackers. We get the regular Nibble box and both The Texan and now PB get excited when they see it come in the mail. Our subscription is every two weeks and costs us $6.99. To me it's a great deal.
